Why use custom QR codes?

Custom QR codes are ideal for standing out on marketing materials, business cards, restaurant menus, product packaging and events. A QR code with corporate colors and an embedded logo conveys professionalism and reinforces brand identity. Unlike a standard black QR, a custom QR attracts attention and increases scan rates. All QR codes generated here are static, scannable by any smartphone, and downloaded in high resolution without watermarks or registration.

Frequently asked questions about custom QR codes

Are custom-shaped QR codes scannable?
Yes. All dot and eye styles generated by this tool are scannable by any smartphone camera. The key is maintaining sufficient contrast between dots and background, and using error correction H when adding a logo (which covers part of the code).
Can I add my logo to the QR code?
Yes. Use the Logo/Image section to upload your logo (PNG with transparency works best). The tool automatically increases the error correction level to H (30%) to ensure the QR is readable even if the logo covers part of the code.
Can I use color gradients in the QR?
Yes. In the Colors section you can switch to Gradient mode and choose between linear (with adjustable angle) or radial gradient. Gradients are applied to the QR dots while the eyes maintain a solid color for better readability.
What size is the downloaded file?
The downloaded PNG is 1024×1024 pixels, sufficient for high-quality printing on cards, posters and materials up to 10×10 cm. For larger prints, use the SVG option which scales without quality loss to any size.
Do these QR codes work on all readers?
Yes. Dot and eye styles are fully compatible with the QR standard. Any scanning app (Google Lens, iPhone camera, our scanner) reads them correctly as long as there is good contrast between dots and background.
What is the best format for printing?
For professional printing use SVG — it is vector and scales perfectly to any size without pixelation. For digital use (web, email, presentations) use PNG at 1024px.
